Common questions

If we haven't answered yours, write to team@offeraccepted.co.uk.

How does this differ from getting a quote?

Tests have a fixed price set by us. You pay once and we handle the rest. Quotes are for repair or improvement work where a contractor needs to scope the job before pricing — those go through our separate quote-request flow.

Who does the work?

A vetted independent specialist on our panel — registered with the relevant regulator or competent-person scheme for their trade (e.g. NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA for Part P electrical work; Gas Safe for gas; PCA or equivalent for damp; UKAS-accredited for asbestos), with current public liability insurance and references we've checked. We allocate the right fulfiller based on your postcode and their availability — we don't favour any particular trade body.

What happens after I book?

You'll get a confirmation email and a contact from your specialist within 24 hours to agree a time slot. They visit, complete the test, and you'll have the report in your inbox within the stated turnaround. We coordinate everything in between.

What if the test finds problems?

The report tells you exactly what was found and how serious it is. If you need follow-up work (e.g. an electrician finds remedial wiring needed after the EICR), we can connect you to a contractor for an estimate — separate from the test itself.

What if I haven't completed on the property yet?

You'll need vendor permission via your estate agent — we send the agent a confirmation link so the vendor can approve site access. You don't need to negotiate it yourself.

Can I cancel?

Yes — full refund any time before the specialist arrives at the property. After the visit, the test fee covers the work done.
